Simple to use, pleasant to fly, reassuring for the passenger, and able to string together hundreds of flights without losing the qualities that make it so effective. Designed for professionals, it will suit just as well the pilots who want to share the joy of flying two-up.
It must be simple to use, pleasant to fly, reassuring for the passenger and able to string together hundreds of flights without losing the qualities that make it effective. The A42 was born from that need.
Developed according to the Premium Access™ philosophy, it puts ease of use, durability and running costs first, without ever compromising on design or manufacturing quality.
“After more than twenty years of professional tandem flying, I knew exactly what tool I wanted to develop. I wasn’t looking for the lightest, most compact or highest-performing wing on the market: I wanted a tandem I would enjoy working with every single day.
Above all, I wanted a durable product. When you fly tandems professionally, profitability depends directly on the running cost of your equipment. The longer a wing keeps performing, the more profitable it becomes. That idea guided the entire development of the A42.”
The entire structure of the A42 was designed with a deliberately conservative approach: limiting deformation as flight hours add up, so the wing durably keeps its original behaviour.
A single size that matches the needs of the vast majority of tandem pilots.
52 cells, internal reinforcements, additional compression straps, targeted stiffening: every detail limits deformation.
As on the A1: a single Nitinol rod and a specific Dacron reinforcement, for a durable profile shape with no friction areas.
Slightly heavier than some competitors: a deliberate choice for a more robust structure that stays stable over time.
Progressive inflation, natural rise, particularly clean lift-off: the pilot can focus on the passenger without having to manage demanding behaviour.
The A42 was not designed to break records. It was designed to accumulate flight hours with efficiency, serenity and consistency.
Every choice made on the A42 pursues the same goal: reducing running costs throughout the wing’s life.
The Premium Access™ model removes the costs that bring nothing to the pilot: the price feels it, not the quality.
The longer a wing keeps performing, the more profitable it is: the design targets lifespan first.
String together take-offs and landings with minimal fatigue, with equipment that keeps up the pace, season after season.
Like every AEROTECH product, the A42 puts material quality above any other consideration.
The most stressed areas use Porcher fabrics exclusively, renowned for their dimensional stability and resistance to ageing. The other panels receive fabrics selected for the best robustness / weight / cost compromise.
Edelrid and Liros lines deliberately sized with a large safety margin: length stability and overall longevity above all.
As across the whole range, the leading edge durably preserves the wing's inflation qualities.
We deliberately accepted a wing slightly heavier than some competitors: a more robust structure, more stable over time, able to accumulate more flight hours without premature degradation.

Data taken from the official A42td flight manual (V1.2, July 2026). Apart from the trim system, the wing is fitted with no adjustable, removable or variable device.
The A42 comes in two versions: STD, the standard version, and EL, with a reinforced leading edge. Each has its own colour range, and custom colours remain possible on both.
The standard version of the A42: three colourways in the catalogue, plus custom colours.

The EL version receives a reinforced leading edge fabric, designed to withstand intensive professional use, with its own colour range.

Simple, functional packaging, true to the AEROTECH philosophy, with everything you need to maintain your working tool.
Everything you need to fly, maintain and repair.
The Standard version, plus the AEROTECH 180-litre rucksack, specially developed for the daily transport of a tandem. Robust, comfortable and durable: the efficiency of a real rucksack rather than a fast-packing bag.
AEROTECH spreader bars, developed according to the Premium Access™ philosophy, will soon complete the range.
We invest as much as possible in the design, materials, manufacturing and durability of our products, while removing the costs that improve neither their quality, nor their safety, nor their longevity. The result: paragliders designed without compromise, offered at the fairest price our business model allows.
